In many industries, workers are exposed to a high level of noise. Normal tolerance of human body is about 80 to 85 dBs. The workers who are exposed to such noise abuse, for a long time are subject to irritation, fatigue, loss of concentration, anxiety, disorientation, rise in blood pressure & heart beats resulting in loss of their efficiency directly affecting productivity. Such prolonged exposure, ultimately may result in total DEAFNESS.

KATALIST Consultants Pvt. Ltd. is a priority sector registered manufacturing S.S.I. Unit No. 111922435 Dtd. 12/09/1995. We developed "LoBel" earplugs. Before we introduced "LoBel", market had various brands of Ear Plugs with one health hazard or the other. "Sponge type Ear Plugs" - which maximum industries were using, owing to its absorbing and porous structure, have a short use span & hence were proving  costly.

Giving due respect to feed back from various industries in India, we concluded that a low price variety of our "LoBel" earplugs without compromising on QUALITY is needed. Now, we have devised this variety under the brand name of "Shanti" earplugs.

The sponge type earplugs are held between two fingers to squeeze and are inserted to block the ear canal. Sponge earplugs being porous and absorbing type, absorb every thing including dust, ear fluids & wax in the ear and dirt or chemicals present on soiled fingers of the wearer.  What happens when the surface area of contact of earplugs, which has absorbed everything that is present on the fingers of the wearer, is held in position for 5-6 may be even 8-10 hours/day in contact with tender ear skin? There is ever threatening possibility of contamination of ear due to this accumulation ? In Indian Industry, possibility of exchange of these earplugs by the workers increases this possibility many times.

To overcome this hazard of Contamination and Infection KATALIST introduces user-friendly peg type "Shanti" earplugs. Here YOU DO NOT HOLD THE SURFACE AREA OF CONTACT. Instead, you hold the stem provided to insert the plug in place. The same hygienic material that is used for "LoBel" is used. It is non-porous & non-absorbing, avoids the absorption of any dirt and they are free from any allergies. Being conical in shape, they get adapted to any size of ear canal. Conversation is easily possible with earplugs on. A cord joins the pair.

The sponge type earplugs thus prove to be UNSAFE, if not used as disposable type. Sponge type earplugs are termed as "Disposable type" by their manufacturers and "Shanti" is "Reusable type" 100% INDIGENOUS product.
